About Photographer Fiona Lindberg

Fiona Lindberg photographer

"I am a wife, a daughter, a sister and a mum. I have been photographing women for 18 years, and it doesn't matter our age, size, stage of life, background or belief, we all need a day to feel beautiful. I think the strength of women is that we are amazing at being great mums, sisters and friends, praising the positive qualities and achievements of the other women in our lives, but usually so terrible at seeing those same amazing qualities in ourselves. So many women say "I hate being photographed!" and I love to change that perception with the experience I provide and a relaxed, fun atmosphere. My style is simple, elegant, feminine and timeless. I want these images to be treasures not only for you and the people who love you, but also for generations of your family to cherish. I love what I do, and my years of practice has enabled me to help you relax and shine, and to capture that in images that your great-grandchildren can look at one day and say  - 'wow, that was Grandma'." - Fiona

Fiona grew up in South-East Queensland and studied her Bachelor of Photography at Queensland College of Art. After completing her degree and wanting to experience more of the world, she took 6 months off to travel and work as a photographer overseas, only to return home 7 years later with the love of her life and a desire to change the culture of the way women see themselves. Fiona and her husband, business partner, second-generation photographer and business mentor Mark relocated from sunny Los Angeles to Sydney, where they established and ran their portrait studio for 3 years before leaving Sydney to settle down in Mark's birthplace in the stunning Waikato to raise their little boy & girl in the kind of green environment they both enjoyed as children. Her private, natural light studio is located in their lovingly renovated 1920's villa in Te Awamutu, a short 20 minute drive south of Hamilton in the heart of the Waikato.
